Mega Bloks Hot Wheels Speed Race Pit Stop, Twin Mill, Rodger Dodger & Review!

I picked these up a couple years ago during my Mega Bloks Hot Wheels fascination, and finally got around to photographing them. Because I had all four racers out of package, I thought I'd review the Twin Mill included in the Speed Race Pit Stop and red Rodger Dodger with my Mega Bloks Twinduction and 24 Ours. Getting more into Lego builds recently over at my toy blog, the Super-DuperToyBox, I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the quality of Lego over Mega Bloks, and for the most part Lego vehicles are more genuinely creative builds, relying less on specialized parts. Still, I love these HW original designs in brick form, and am a fan of Mega Bloks minifigs, particularly these simple, helmeted racers. I have some more articulated Mega Bloks minifigs, but these are my favorite.

HW 2014 "Track Aces" 24 Ours

I felt it appropriate after my last post on the Mega Bloks Hot Wheels 24 Ours, that I show these 2014 castings of the same car in 1:64 scale. I'm a fan of this car, often fond of Hot Wheels' original creations within the racing and muscle car genre, this model inspired by the famous Peugeot LeMans race car. I love the color scheme on both these, and am a fan of that PR5 wheel type! Check out the video:

Mega Bloks Hot Wheels 24 Ours

I put one of these Mega Bloks Hot Wheels cars together back in August, and while I'm not typically a Legos/Mega Bloks kinda guy, it is fun assembling when a cool Hot Wheels car is the end result. This one went more quickly than the Twinduction, and had just a few less parts. White cars aren't my favorite, but the blue and orange highlights appeal to me greatly. I also love the Mega Bloks mini racer figure included with these! Hot Wheels/Mega Bloks fans can also get sets with the Bone Shaker, Roger Dodger, and Bad To the Blade cars, among others. I think I love the 24 Ours even more that the Twinduction... such a great race car!
