I could not believe my good luck not only in finding this exceptional M2 Machines casting, but the "chase" version with gold trim to boot! I lamented my inability to find a Hot Wheels Super T-Hunt during my first year of collecting, but I do find some great cars now and then. Check out the video:

I've had these "Ground Pounder" styled M2 Machines muscle cars for some time now, and finally decided to film them together. M2 makes a quality product, and the Auto-Lift 2-packs are really special! Check out the video:

M2 Machines Auto Hauler 1958 Chevrolet LCF Moon Pie Trailer

After shooting the M2 Machines '58 Dodge COE Moon Pie, I had to grab this sweet 1958 Chevrolet LCF Moon Pie Trailer- Love! There were at least a couple other Moon Pie haulers in the series, one with a Dodge Charger Daytona in it I may have passed on once- I do prefer a car hauler, but this Large Cargo Freighter has great graphics on it- check out the video:

The details on the LCF are superior to the COE, or rather manifested by the vac metal finish in the rims, fuel tanks, and grill. It is, however, noticeably more fragile with thin plastic exhaust pipes (smartly attached to the cab) and a somewhat delicately hinged hitch, the latter of which rattled around sadly in the other model on hand at TRU. This beauty will live a quiet life here in the Batcave, where I can have fun stowing 1:64 scale M2 cars in in it's roomy trailer, as demonstrated in the video. This town was filthy with M2 Auto Haulers this past summer, the supply of which has substantially diminished recently- I was smart to pick up a couple when I did, which I hope to show you at some point.

I picked up this M2 Machines 1957 Dodge 700 COE (Cab Over Engine) Moon Pie truck back on the 4th of July weekend marked down to $0.85 at TRU- a great deal on a FUN truck! Check out the video:

M2 Machines Foose 1968 Pontiac Firebird

My exploration of more premium 1:64 scale continues with this M2 Machines 1968 Pontiac Firebird, customised design by automotive designer and Overhaulin' reality show star Chip Foose, who in 2009 was inducted into the Diecast Hall of Fame. A fondness emerging for these muscle cars in general, I love the sparkle green with flames running down the front panels through the doors on this Firebird! It also has separate headlight pieces, and excellent chrome trim and incised panel detailing throughout, including a FOOSE rear license plate- a real looker...! It comes with a plexi display case, the car's chassis screwed into the metallic, tread base, which sports model signage in front.

A hinged hood exposes the engine underneath, perhaps the 350 V-8, replacing the 320 in that year (Wikipedia)...

The M2 has a lot of the same great detailing that the Auto World Pontiac Firebird I reviewed in my last post, and has the added benefit of wider, more even rubber tires for a smoother ride...

While these make a great pair, I lean toward the green FOOSE for it's superior tires and flashy styling- what about you?

Will "Kim's" 1968 take "Moe's" 1969 in a quarter... ?? I know these "young adult" model miniatures by Scene Setters aren't really in scale, but they're fun to stand next to these realistic 1:64 scale cars   :D
