Disney Pixar CARS "Hamm"

This Hamm casting was inspired by the Radiator Springs Drive-In scene in Cars, in which Toy Story was playing, the characters switched to wheeled versions of themselves, and actor John Ratzenberger reprising his role voicing Hamm. Ratzenberger also voiced Mack in Cars, complimenting his own work at the drive-in. Funny stuff! Check out the video:

Disney/Pixar CARS Shifty Drug Hauler & Kevin Racingtire

After finding the Piston Cup Series Kevin Racingtire, I found his pink hauler from a Chinese seller on eBay at a decent price. The turning radius is restrictive on this hauler due to the hitch placement, and the axles are a little long, making me think this may have been a factory second, but he's fine otherwise. I love the fun colors on this pair! Check out the video:

CARS Tokyo Mater Series Manji, Komodo, & Kabuto Ninja

I can't stay away from these Disney/Pixar Cars- love 'em! The playful faces and bright colors have a Japanese pop appeal I gravitate toward, and these Tokyo Mater Series cars are especially so pronounced. Check out the video:

CARS Cruisin' Lightning McQueen & Holley Shiftwell

Further into my fascination with the Disney/Pixar Cars vehicles, here are the Cruisin' Lightning McQueen & Tokyo Party Series Holley Shiftwell. The Lost & Found Series Crusin' Lightning is from a scene in the first movie- I loved the '60s Corvette-shaped body & metallic finish on this. I finally saw Cars 2, in which British secret agent Holley Shiftwell works with Finn McMissile (voiced by actor Michael Caine) and tow truck Mater to protect Lightning McQueen from a mysterious ringleader plotting destruction of the racers in the World Gran Prix. The metallic finishes on these had some light scuffs, but were attractive overall...

Disney/Pixar Cars Wally Hauler

I'll be the first to admit I have a love/hate relationship with the retail Goliath- while they are undeniable the downfall of Main St. America, I worked at one of their small stores briefly as a teenager, and do buy my share of Hot Wheels there. I'm also a fan of haulers in general, so after seeing this Wally Hauler again recently, I had to roll him home! Check out the video:

Cars- Transcontinental Race of Champions Silver Racers Series

Admiring some of Tomica's recent Dream Series castings moved me to take a closer look at the Disney/Pixar Cars vehicles recently, when these Silver Racers got my attention. I enjoyed the first Cars movie, and always like Hot Wheels ZAMAC series cars, with the tampos applied directly to bare metal- these are painted silver on these Cars vehicles, but the aesthetic is similar. These are wide castings with nice wheels and anthropomorphic qualities that make me smile! Check out the video:
