Greenlight Hitch & Tow 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne & Flatbed Trailer

Everyone's talking about the Greenlight Hitch & Tow Series, and for good reason- they're great. Of particular interest to myself was this Cheyenne pickup and flatbed trailer, my high school rock band having played on such a setup for outdoor parties in my youth. Good times!

Greenlight produced another flatbed setup recently with an orange Chevy C-10 pickup that has a little more visual pizzazz, but this black & white Cheyenne has authentic detailing that can't be ignored. My single nitpick would be the white wheels, not as much for the color choice but the plastic-y material- and the aluminum hubcap lacks impact. Could probably fix that if you're a customizer. Still, a cool truck...

The Country Roads Series 1976 Dodge B-100 Van looks right at home on this flatbed trailer...

The trailer jack is threaded and can be twisted to lower onto the truck's hitch. Somewhat pointless at 1:64 scale, but it works. The ramps cup over the rails on the trailer so you can roll a vehicle onto the flatbed. I must also note the subtle but attentive detailing in the flatbed itself, textured like wood, with  aluminum colored wheel covers and black diecast base. Not bad...

And just for fun, the Hot Pursuit Series 1974 Dodge Monaco loaded up on the flatbed....

Greenlight International Durastar 4400 Flatbed

Love this big International Durastar 4400 Flatbed by Greenlight! Be careful when ordering these online- the white Durastar I ordered arrived with mangled mirrors and rear bumper snapped off. I tried to fix it, but to no avail. The parts are rather delicate, and won't like survived a drop on the floor. Still, it's a beauty that will be great for posing other premium diecast cars on. I love a hauler!

The flatbed ramp doesn't engage, and there are no moving parts, save the wheels, but it's such a handsome truck! The detail highlights include the Durastar's beautiful International grille, transparent amber light bar, vac-metal mirrors, tanks, & rims, and rubber tires, duals in back...

Greenlight Country Roads 1976 Dodge B-100 Street Van

I picked up this Greenlight Country Roads series 1976 Dodge B-100 Street Van a couple weeks ago from a TRU, impressed with it's retro appeal. While I'm kinda disappointed in the paint slop along the top of the passenger side, unseen at the time of purchase due to the packaging orientation, the presentation on this Dodge van has some good points. It suffers from some sketchy paint apps in the striping, which is a shame because the colors match the era so well. The detail highlights are the door mirrors, grille and wheels, which look great!

Greenlight 100th Anniv. 2014 Dodge Charger R/T

I've been picking up more premium Greenlight cars using the 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon, bringing the price down on these to about $4.50. While I'm more a fan of Dodge muscle from the '60s, particularly the Charger and Challenger, I still enjoy the contemporary models. Greenlight makes some of the very best diecast cars in my opinion, which are peerless in their minutiae of detail. This beautiful, red Charger is no exception, with an opening hood revealing the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. I prefer the nose on the newer 2015 model, but this beast is nothing to sneeze at. Greenlight even put plastic inserts into the headlights and taillights in, along with paint details like the badging appropriate to the model for added realism. I like racing stripes but can appreciate the clean presentation on this car- classy!

Greenlight Series 13 Hot Pursuit Dodge Chargers & Monaco

I've been scoring a number of Greenlight cars from Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupons lately, including these Series 13 Hot Pursuit castings that have peerless detailing. These normally run six to seven dollars each, but I get them for about $4.50 with the coupon! Check out the video:

Below are comparison pics with my Jada Hero Patrol Series Chevy Tahoe and Ford Crown Victoria, which are noticeably larger in size, and don't have the same minutiae of detail as the Greenlight. They are sturdy castings, however, and I like their opening doors and colored light bars. I have a couple others I need to open and photograph...

Greenlight 1974 Ford Bronco Ranger

I'd foolishly passed on this Greenlight "Country Roads" series 1974 Ford Bronco Ranger awhile back, but went back for it after seeing a video featuring the truck at Dietastic1 last night. My motorized turntable arrived from China today. so I thought the Bronco would be a good inaugural run on the device, which is as cheap and comically clunky! Ha!  :D   Still, the device has a generous 8" felt covered platform. Enjoy the video:
