HW Graffiti Riders & Race Rods 3-packs

Just a quick post on a couple older Hot Wheels 3-packs I picked up last weekend, the Graffiti Riders 3-pack from 2011 and Race Rods 3-pack from 2012. These normally go for about four buck at Wal-Mart, but I found them for $3.00 at Big Lots. Check out the video:

Matchbox Outdoor Sights 5-pack

At first glance, I hadn't notice this Matchbox Outdoor Sights 5-pack contained a Travel Trailer- I'd admired the red Tahoe and blue  Cadillac CTS Wagon, but missed the camper! I can see what Mattel was going for in the color choice of the MBX Prospector, but it's not the most flattering shade of green, made worse I might add being cast in plastic. While I'd say the Honda Ridgeline with the Travel Trailer in tow is the star of this set, the Tahoe and Cadillac appeal to me greatly- check out the video:

Jada Hero Patrol Chevy Tahoe & Ford Crown Victoria

"Billy" & "Moe" get caught out past curfew...

A little further yet into my investigation of more premium diecast cars, the hinged doors and trunks on these Jada Hero Patrol Series cars are what appealed to me most. I'm a fan of toy police cars in general, and these are fairly detailed for the $3.99 price tag- the tampos are kinda simple, but they do have rubber tires and realistic sculpts and interior appointments. The Chevy Tahoe is particularly impressive with the firearms case inside the hatchback, but both have tiny laptop inside the dashboard and prisoner safety grating between the front & rear seats. For me, one must have police cars in your collection to chase the speeders in all those hot rods you have!
