HW 2015 Sand Stinger & Custom Ford Bronco

Continuing with the HW Off-Road theme from my last post, let's have a look at the 2015 N-case Sand Stinger and P-case Custom Ford Bronco. Who can resist the spare in back of the Bronco, and sandy-brown wheels on the that 4-wheeler? Fun stuff! Check out the video:

HW Rip Rod

Recently finding the 2015 P-case Rip Rod, I picked up the red K-case version warming the pegs for a threefer with my black 2014 B-case Rip Rod! The Rip Rod is a real HW Test Facility car, outfit with a suitcase sized 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine. This UK developed 1.0 liter engine can produce anywhere from 99 to over 200 HP, and is currently being used in the Ford Fiesta, winning International Engine of the Year award in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Check out the video:

HW Chevy Silverado

I'd put off picking up the blue-silver P-case and red L-case Chevy Silverado, preferring my flashier "Hot Trucks" series 2014 C-case in flaming blue with vac-metal grill and interior. But I soon came to appreciate the simplicity of the 2015 Silverados, and cracked open the 2014 for a closer 360 degree comparison. Check out the video:

HW Desert Force 5-Pack+

I loved the mud-brown tires on these Desert Force 5-Pack castings, which I came to appreciate more after pick up the recent P-case Humvee. The futuristic black Da' Kar is the most outrageous of these fantasy models, the rest looking like reasonable candidates for a typical mud run. I came mainly for the Sandblaster, Power Sander, and Dune It Up, but the gold Baja Bone Shaker has it's merits, like the Da' Kar. Check out the video:

Guest starring in the video above are the 2013 A-case Dune It Up and 2014 B-case Sandblaster, both of which were pulled from the collection and cracked open just for the occasion...

I couldn't make it to K-Mart Collectors Day this past weekend, and leftovers were slim pickings, but I did score these first-to-market HW Humvees! I love how the camouflage pattern is comprised of the Hot Wheels "swoosh", which morph into a tiger's head on the passenger doors- very cool! Check out the video:

HW 2015 Aero Pod -Jungle Rally

The new Aero Pod looks like a futuristic military or emergency vehicle, and we'll likely see it repurposed as such, perhaps in a multi-pack. I like the bright green, and a red "Jungle Rally" was just released as well. Check out the video:

The Hot Wheels Fast Forward is a fun little fantasy rally car, my most recent find the blue 2015 N-case variant. The silver was from the C-case, the white from the 2014 D-case, and the orange the 2014 k-case. Check out the video:

I'm a fan of diecast haulers in general, so I was looking forward to picking up a couple of the new HW Haulinator from the recent N-case. I love the flared stance of this casting, and of course the expanding bed track. Check out the video:

This will be a Double Feature Drivin' Movie here at the Super Fun Hot Wheels Blog! There appears to be an entirely new wheel type on this gold 2015 Off-Duty, whereas the previous blue 2015 casting had the Off-Road 6 Spoke. Check out the video:

The 2015 Combat Medic has great color, and a lot of metal in the casting from the 2015 G-case. A popular model among collectors, this truck has served as a delivery van for everything from spark plugs to candy bars, and has been released as a SWAT truck as well as in military colors over the last three decades. HW 2008 Lancer Evolution (2015 Speed Hunters Maximum Attack)

I was looking forward to finding this Speed Hunters Lancer Evolution since I saw it! I'm sort of a fan of Japanese sports cars, and like the unconventional color scheme on this. It seems to be popular among Hot Wheelers across the country, who are all on the lookout for the Super Treasure Hunt version of this casting. A year into writing this blog and weekly runs around the county, and I have yet to run into a Super. Check out the video:

HW Street Stealth & Sand Stinger

I wasn't really a diecast bike kinda guy when this all started, but have liked the few I've photographed recently, so I picked these up a couple weeks ago just for fun...

I love this little Sand Stinger- my HW Mega Bloks figures fit nicely on the seat! It also pairs nice with the HW450F, both HW Off-Road cycles. I have some other off-road vehicles in my collection these two will look right at home with...

Disappointingly, my Street Stealth had a warped back wheel, so it doesn't roll freely, but I do kinda like this little bike's styling. The engine body & struts are metal, endorsements neatly tamped on both sides. The rims could have used some paint, and the seat & tank look kinda plastic-y, but it's a nice shape...

HW Dodge Challenger Drift Cars

I had a couple of the yellow 2014 HW Dodge Challenger Drift for awhile, stumbling onto the blue 2015 at the same local K-Mart where I'd enjoyed the recent Feb.14th K-Day event. Sweet! I love the tampos and differently colored front and back rims! Check out the video:

HW450F Moto & Canyon Carver Police Bikes

I picked up a few Hot Wheels at Wal-Mart last night on sale for $0.88, including these HW450F Moto & Canyon Carver Police Bikes. To my delight, the Hot Wheels Mega Bloks figures I've been collecting fit on them pretty well, their tiny hands even clamping around the handlebars! My only real complaint is that the HW450F Moto won't sit upright on it's own, but I was pleased with their quality otherwise. Enjoy...!
