HW Protonic Energy & White Heat MS-T Suzukas

I am mad for some of the Hot Wheels original castings inspired by Japanese sports cars, the MS-T Suzuka being one of my favorites! I have tried the CD-ROM game included in the 2002 Protonic Energy Suzuka, but was really just interested in the futuristic deco. The 2005 White Heat Series casting from 2005 is unique in my multi-colored Suzuka collection, and has a snappy chrome undercarriage like the Protonic- a feature I appreciate. Check out the video:

Check out the posts on my other Suzukas to learn more about them!

2001 Collectors #213 MS-T Suzuka

No sooner had I photographed my green & orange MS-T Suzuka, than my new model came in the mail, an eBay auction win for a buck!As I said in my last post, the appeal of this car is hard for me to define, but I do like their large, flat body and wide undercarriage wrapping up from under the car...

This 2001 MS-T Suzuka was the second released by Mattel, the car's first release into the mainline, behind the green 1st Editions Suzuka in my last post.  Like the others, it's engine head covers through the rear window, an impossibly small Hot Wheels logo sculpted into them..

Looks like Speedy's Dealership has a healthy inventory of MS-T Suzukas right now...

HW 1st Ed. 2001 & All Star 2007 MS-T Suzuka

I liked the MS-T Suzuka that came with my Haul & Race Rig so much that I picked up a couple more on eBay,  a green 1st Ed. 2001 and orange 2007 All Star! What appeals to me about this car is hard to pinpoint exactly, but I do like their large, flat body and wide undercarriage wrapping up from under the car...

I also like seeing the engine head covers through the rear window, an impossibly small Hot Wheels logo sculpted into them...

It would be hard to say I like these green and orange Suzukas more than the purple one I already had, but they do compliment it nicely...

Hot Wheels Wikia says about the MS-T Suzuka:
The MS-T Suzuka is a mid-engined, six cylinder, turbocharged car named after the famous Suzuka Circuit race track in Japan. This Hot Wheels Original Design combines futuristic F1 design elements like a carbon fiber styled under tray and diffuser with a tricked out super car body.

Hot Wheels Haul & Race Rig and Turbo Hauler

I already showed you my boxed Turbo Hauler in my June 22nd post, but I also recently scored a Haul & Race Rig on eBay at a good price. The Haul & Race is a 2010 release, and larger Turbo a later 2013 hauler, both with their own merits. I felt they complimented one another, and make fun displays for my cars.

While I've not yet opened enough cars to fill the Turbo Hauler, Mattel boasts it's capacity at forty cars. A slide-out loading ramp of sorts may have been a nice addition, or maybe two- one into the trailer's hull, and one onto the main deck, the top trays left free? I like the that two cars can ride atop the cab, and the red  spokes give the Turbo that great Hot Wheels look! While smaller, the Haul & Race Rig has more play value, with a loading ramp, adjustable middle deck, and fences that swing open on the lower decks...

The real attraction of the Haul & Race Rig is, of course, it's upper deck that swings up into race ramp position, a lever atop for simultaneous release. It's mildly clumsy due only to it's small size, but sturdier than you'd think and a lotsa fun! Best yet, there are slots at the end of the foldout ramp that accommodate track- it's a steep drop, and should make for some good racing in the future!

The MS-T Suzuka car that came with it has 2000 stamped on the undercarriage, and was released before in a 2012 Heat Fleet 5-pk, but I LOVE IT. Seriously- the magenta body and flamejob down the side, trimmed in yellow to match the windows does it for me. It's a satisfyingly wide car, made more so by the plastic bumpers extending up from the chassis. This Suzuka's white spokes and high spoiler really it sporty, too- I'd buy more of these!

Now it's time to load 'em up and haul 'em out to the race...!
