Matchbox Vantom

The latest edition of the Matchbox Vantom, my fourth, in white- I'm not a fan of every Matchbox original/fantasy casting, but I do like this one! Check out the video:

Below, the Vantom with my Matchbox '69 Custom Mudstanger...

Until now, the Vantom has not had it's own post here on the Super Fun Hot Wheels Blog- my fleet all together, below:

Matchbox Finds- Jan. 2016

Matchbox carded Desert Thunder V16, Aston Martin DBS Volante, Attack Track and Vantom, as well as the NEW boxed Power Grabs Series Hummer, Pit King, Express Delivery and Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Check out the video:

Two of my favorites in the video are the Desert Thunder V16 in the Alien Study Lab livery, which go well with my MBX Mission Force: Space set, and the twin Attack Tracks with raising missile launchers to go with my Matchbox Blockade Busters...

Feb 2015 Matchbox Haul

Actually, three of these I already had in a box full Matchbox I've yet to photograph, which I thought would compliment a few of the new castings I picked up. I'd been on the lookout for the Chevy Silverado with the Jeep Hurricane in the back of my mind, and lucked out finding them both, later finding the Aston Martin Volante mainline in black and the blue 60th Anniversary Commemorative Edition as well. I'd seen the latter months ago, but the orange Land Rover was a first- these are really leftovers from the 2013 Anniversary line, but new to me. Check out the video:

Highlights from the February Matchbox Haul:

Aston Martin DBS Volante- blue 60th Anniversary Commemorative from 2013 & black 2014 Matchbox mainline...

2013 Green Vantom with blue "MBX Arctic" 2014 Vantom, and the 2014 Highway Maintenance Truck with the Ground Grabber...

Jeep Willys with Jeep Hurricane...

Grey Land Rover Defender 110 from the Matchbox Outdoor Sights 5-pack with the orange 2013 60th Anniversary Commemorative Land Rover...

Blue Chevy Silverado, Cadillac CTS Wagon, and BMW M1...

Matchbox MBX Explorers Series Vehicles

Love these Matchbox Explorer Series vehicles for a lot of the same reasons I liked the Hot Wheels Off-Road Trucks I posted on back in November, though the Matchbox offers a few more realistic castings, like the Toyota and Land Rover. Check out the video:

Of interest in particular to myself was the new MBX 4x4 pictured below, which is Matchbox's own off-road jeep- great casting and great color...
