Loved this Hot Wheels Iron Man car at first sight, my interest in the subject keen as author of The Super-DuperToyBox. It seemed the most realistic of the latest Marvel-themed cars from Hot Wheels. At four bucks a pop, I've limited myself to only this one so far the mechanized nature of the character lending itself well to car design.
The metallic finish and translucent blue plastic parts mimic Iron Man's armor and repulsor unit, the rear afterburners coming alive under a halogen lamp- really cool!
The gold metallic base is merely vac-metal finished plastic, but a nice touch nonetheless. The car looks very much like my Marvel Legends Heroic Age Iron Man, but I had to get a shot of it with my smaller Marvel Heroes & Villains Iron Man mini-figure...
Make It FAST- Make It FUN!
Purdy cool Colin! The Hot Wheels crowd Is pretty tough, huh?I'm having the same problem with my Sports Pub blog.Sports hobbyists and Card collectors are extremely hard to attract for some reason. In total I've gotten about zero comments lol!Anyways hang In there because your Hot Wheels site looks just as awesome as SDTB does and It's only a matter of time before you start getting some major "traffic", pun intended ;)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I dunno Tony- I'm not really feeling discouraged. This blog is for my own personal amusement, really. I only started mid-June, and have had over 5,000 page views to date. I don't worry too much about comments, and the interaction from my channel on YouTube has drawn visitors. Thanks for coming by as always- love having you guys over, and having a ball :)
DeleteI seen these at the store as of late along with the new Hanna-Barbara themed ones.
ReplyDeleteLoving all your Hotwheels pics man! Makes me want to get off my lazy butt and snap a few too, I used to collect HW, but stopped when I amounted too many and don't know where to put them. They look nice in the package and are easier to display. The problem is displaying them once I open them, how are you displaying them outside of the package?
ReplyDeletestill need to figure that out, Jcee... one idea I saw was a slim lure case with the lid removed, screwed to the wall. Looked effective and inexpensive.
DeleteI saw where the person took the grill from a Ford car and used it as a display shelf. Not a big photo but: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/236x/d8/b9/6a/d8b96a6fc137de80b26ff6724ec1f47e.jpg
